Carnival Spirit Northbound Gulf of Alaska Cruise Itinerary

Day 1

While touring Vancouver visit historic Gastown. Dine at the superb restaurants and browse through the quaint curio shops. Save time to stroll through the exquisite gardens of Stanley Park. Embark in Vancouver.

Day 2
The Inside Passage is renowned for its islands and coves. It is also the main home of the Huna, a Tlingit tribe that has lived in the Glacier Bay/Icy Strait area since prehistory. Enjoy the rich history and beautiful surroundings as you sail through this majestic area. Cruising the Inside Passage.

Day 3
With a population of roughly 7,000, Ketchikan is teeming with the boisterous history of timber, gold and fishing. Built on stilts, the renowned totem poles of the city are proud reminders of the area's strong native presence. Wander down Creek Street, the town's famous, and now-innocent, "red light" district. Port of call Ketchikan.

Day 4
Alaska's colorful capital city was once a magnet for gold seekers in the 1890s. Don't miss the famous Red Dog Saloon and be sure to visit the massive Mendenhall Glacier. Other attractions include a mountain tram, a salmon hatchery, the state museum and the governor's mansion. Port of call Juneau.

Day 5
This unique port of Skagway is a town of false-front buildings and wood plank sidewalks. Catch the action at the playfully "naughty" Red Onion Saloon and in the "Days of '98 Saloon" Theatre. Visit a recreated Gold Rush Trail Camp. For a journey into Alaska's past, travel aboard the White Pass and Yukon Railroad. Depart via the Lynn Canal, a 62-mile channel carved by glaciers that runs from Juneau to Skagway. Cruising along the canal takes in spectacular waterfalls and opportunities to view the abundant wildlife. The water's stable temperature makes the area a haven for seals, whales, salmon and halibut. Port of call Skagway.

Day 6
As the one-time capital of Russian America, visitors to Sitka are always impressed with a visit to the onion-domed St. Michaels Cathedral and the oldest building in Alaska: the Russian Bishop's House. Port of call Sitka.

Day 7
Located off the coast of Anchorage, Prince William Sound hosts the largest concentration of glaciers in Alaska. This includes the College Fjord, a series of glaciers named after Ivy League schools. Cruising Prince William Sound.

Day 8
From the port of Whittier, transfer to nearby Anchorage. Located at the base of the Chugach Mountains, Anchorage is a surprisingly cosmopolitan city. Get to know Alaska's largest city. Disembark in Whittier.

Ship Amenities
The 2,124-passenger Spirit is the first ship in Carnival’s Spirit-class sailing and offers a two-level promenade and the reservations-only supper club. Impressive pool areas include a multi-directional water slide. Carnival is well known for its lavish Las Vegas-style shows in the main showroom and frequently brings on featured entertainers such as musicians, jugglers, comedians, ventriloquists, and magicians. Among her outstanding features is greater speed, which makes it possible for guests to visit more locations in less time. A remarkable 80% of staterooms aboard this ship offer ocean views.

Cabin Features
Cabins include separate dressing and sitting areas, a refrigerator, double sinks, a bathtub, separate vanity area, hairdryer, phone, and color television showing first-run films. Carnival Spirit features staterooms above ocean level for a more comfortable cruise.
