Denali Tundra Trail Horseback Ride (PM)

Denali Horseback Rides - horsesThe perfect ride for those who want a real taste of Alaska. Your savvy horse will carry you up the open tundra to an elevation of 2500 feet, and return through a beautiful ravine that melds into taiga. Amazing views will have you constantly reaching for your camera. Excellent natural history lectures and great chances to view wildlife, especially moose! No prior riding experience is needed to participate in this fully-guided excursion. Full length rain slickers and riding helmets are provided. Helmets are mandatory if under 18 years old. There are saddlebags on all saddles for your convenience. For your safety, please do not wear shorts, sandals, nylon rain ponchos or loose fitting hats. Riders must be at least seven years old. This tour cannot accommodate riders over 250 pounds. Your safari begins at our home and place of business located at Mile 3.9 Stampede Road in Healy, 11 miles north of the Denali National Park entrance. This historical road once known as the Stampede trail from the Gold and Antimony strikes was one of the first roads into Denali National Park.

What To Wear
Due to unpredictable Alaskan weather, we advise dressing in layers, which will allow you to stay warm and dry as the outdoor environment changes. For this event, please also bring comfortable walking shoes and a jacket that can shield you from light wind or rain. Please do not wear shorts or sandals. Don't forget your camera for the many photo opportunities along the way.
