Homer Alaska

Hot Tub at Homer's Land's End ResortHomer is located on the shores of Kachemak Bay near the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula. The town has a population of over 4,000 residents with another 8,000 living beyond the city limits. One of Homer’s most unique landmarks is the “Spit”, a narrow body of land extending 4.5 miles out into Kachemak Bay. Although originally settled in the early 1800s by homesteaders and coal miners, today Homer’s economy is based primarily on commercial fishing and tourism. Homer is known to local Alaskans and visitors alike as an artisan’s community, with numerous galleries and shops featuring local works.

Homer Hotels
Homer offers over a hundred lodging choices from campgrounds, rv parks, hostels and bed and breakfasts to motels, hotels and lodges. We highly recommend the Land’s End Resort, located right on the end of the Homer spit. Here you will enjoy clean modern rooms with spectacular views of Kachemak Bay. Land’s End Resort also has one of the best seafood restaurants in town, as well as a spa and outdoor hot tub.
