Kenai Fjords Tours

Kenai Fjords ToursOf the many 'must see' destinations in Alaska, Kenai Fjords National Park is certainly at or near the top of the list. The 600,000 acre Park features dramatic fjords, calving glaciers, and the massive 300 square mile Harding Ice field. The waters of Kenai Fjords are teaming with marine wildlife like stellar sea lions, harbor seals, Dall porpoises, sea otters, humpback, killer and minke whales. You can view the Park from land by taking a short drive out to Exit Glacier, one of the most accessible glaciers in Alaska. Most visitors experience Kenai Fjords from the sea by taking a day boat cruise from Seward. Alaska Tour & Travel is proud to represent Kenai Fjords Tours, the leading operator in the area who has been operating guided cruises to Kenai Fjords National Park for nearly 30 years. Below is an overview of many of the cruises and tours available from Seward.

National Park Cruises
This is Alaska's most popular wildlife and glacier cruise. Highlights of the trip include abundant wildlife, a stop at a tidewater glacier and the spectacular scenery of Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park. The six-hour cruises depart at 8:00am, 11:30am and 3:00pm, and include a deli-style lunch or dinner. Our highest recommended Kenai Fjords tour is the 10:00am departure, which is 8 hours long and includes a stop at Fox Island for a scrumptious salmon bake lunch. The national park cruises travel about 110 miles roundtrip from Seward.

Northwestern Fjord Tour
Travel deeper into the Park to Northwestern Fjord. This full day cruise is one of the most extensive cruises available to Kenai Fjords National Park. You will travel roughly 150 miles roundtrip from Seward, with breakfast and lunch included on board. The Northwestern Fjord Tour departs daily at 9:00am returning to Seward at approximately 6:00pm.

Resurrection Bay Cruise
If you are short on time, consider a wildlife and natural history cruise on Resurrection Bay. Our favorite is the noon departure that also features a salmon bake lunch at Fox Island. The Resurrection Bay wildlife cruise travels about 50 miles roundtrip from Seward.

In addition to Kenai Fjords cruises, we also offer kayaking trips on Fox Island.
