Alaska Travel Photo Contest
Exploring Alaska with a camera this summer? Enter your best shots in our annual photo contest!
Alaska is a picturesque place, and even though it's often said that a photo doesn't do it justice, we want to see those that do. The grand prize of a $500 Visa gift card will be awarded to the photographer whose photo best captures the experience of traveling in Alaska. It may be wildlife and wild places, people exploring epic landscapes, cultural heritage, or simply awe-inspiring sites. The contest is open to U.S. visitors and Alaska residents alike.
Alaska Photo Contest Rules

- Each entrant may submit up to five photos. Each photo must be an original personally taken by the entrant in Alaska. No AI "photos," neither AI generated or AI altered. That's no fun. We want to see Alaska through your lens.
- Photos must be submitted in jpeg (.jpg) format with a minimum width of 1024 pixels, although a width of 2048 pixels or wider is preferred. No watermarks please. See more on attribution below.
- All entries must be received by October 9, 2026. The Grand Prize will be awarded by mid-October.
- Alaska Tour & Travel staff choose the winner. Photos are scored by composition, impact, and how well they capture the real experience of traveling in Alaska.
- All photos entered in the contest become property of Alaska Tour & Travel. Copyrights remain with the entrant, however, by entering the Alaska Travel Photo Contest, the entrant grants Alaska Tour & Travel the right to display the photos online and to use the photos in print or online advertising and marketing. When used in social media, Alaska Tour & Travel will provide attribution, if requested, for one full year after the contest closes.
