Cooper Landing Alaska

Kenai Princess Lodge Cooper LandingCooper Landing is located in south central Alaska near center of the Kenai Peninsula at the west end of Kenai Lake. The world famous Kenai River begins here and flows through town on its way to the Cook Inlet. About 300 year round residents call Cooper Landing home, but the population grows considerably during the summer months. The town was founded in the mid 1800s by prospectors looking for gold. Much of the economic activity now centers around the abundant tourism opportunities in and around Cooper Landing.

Cooper Landing Hotels
While the town offers a number of smaller lodging choices such as bed and breakfasts, motels and inns, our top recommendation is the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge. Nestled among the forest and mountains on the Kenai River, the Kenai Princess Lodge is the perfect wilderness getaway. The Lodge features bungalow style rooms with sun porches and wood stoves. Add outdoors hot tubs, a fabulous restaurant and numerous decks and you will see why the lodge is a top choice.
