Custom Vacation Packages
The tours listed on our Vacation Packages pages should be viewed as suggested itineraries or a starting point for your Alaska vacation planning. Because our package prices simply equal the sum of the retail prices for the various components in the tour, you can add or delete items and be assured that you are getting the best available price. There are no “hidden mark ups” at Alaska Tour and Travel. You can modify any of our non-escorted package tours or start from scratch by choosing from our numerous lodging, tour, and transportation offerings. Deposits and Final Payments
When you make a reservation a deposit of 30% is required. Payment may be made by check, mastercard, visa or discover credit cards. We will mail you a confirmation and itinerary with your deposit credit card receipt. The balance, or final payment, is due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. Unless you instruct us otherwise, we will automatically charge the final payment to your credit card on file approximately 45 days prior to travel. At this time we will mail you your final documents including your travel vouchers or tickets needed for your trip.

Information that will help us better plan your trip includes:
  Preferred or estimated arrival date
  Desired length of stay in Alaska.
  Party size including number of adults and children (age 12 and under).
  Rooming preferences (ie. number of rooms or beds).

Package and Tour Pricing
Alaska Tour & Travel prices vacation packages no higher than the published rates of the various operators included in each package. In fact this website allows you to "drill down" to the component level of the various vacation packages to see what individual lodging, activities and transportation components would cost if purchased alone. This allows you ultimate flexibility to customize your vacation package, and adds the assurance that you are receiving the best possible price at the time of reservation. Our pricing policy ensures you a better package price along with the convenience of booking with a single call.

Published rates are defined as the rates shown in general advertising such as the Alaska State Vacation Planner and the company brochure. Special promotions or club member rates are not applicable. Sometimes individual operators may have last minute promotions to sell open capacity. We are unable to honor these promotional rates since they usually are not in effect at the time of reservation, and because we are held to our contract rates by the operator. Rates are subject to change without notice and do not include local taxes. The only exception to the "published" rate policy is the Denali Wildlife Tour which does not offer a standard wholesale commission. A small booking fee is charged for this activity.

Refunds and Cancellations
A deposit equal to 30% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of travel a 10% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Groups, seven-day cruises, escorted tours, and certain wilderness lodges have additional restrictions, see your itinerary for additional information. Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

Small Group Vacation Packages
Alaska is a perfect destination for small groups, and Alaska Tour & Travel is here to arrange every detail. Groups not only enjoy the sights of Alaska with their friends, but often they enjoy savings and special service along the way. We can build a custom Alaska vacation package for your small group including hotels, tours, cruises, and transportation.

Special Requests
When you make reservations with us you can make special requests such as rooming preferences like a river view, king bed or roll away bed. We will notify the property of these requests in writing, however, final room assignment will be up to the hotel. Extra charges for any room upgrades, incidentals, or extra services requested by you will be your responsibility.
