Kayaking from Lowell Point Afternoon Trip

A great trip for first-time kayakers! Experience the beauty of Resurrection Bay and its plentiful marine life on this three hour afternoon guided sea-kayak excursion from Lowell Point, a short two-mile drive from Seward. On this trip, you'll paddle along the shoreline of Caines Head State Recreation Area where encounters with sea otters, sea lions, bald eagles, numerous sea birds, and leaping salmon are common. Occasionally, orcas or humpback whales are sighted. You'll be paddling amidst some of the most spectacular scenery in coastal Alaska. This guided wilderness paddle is a great introduction to sea kayaking and offers efficient tandem (two-person) kayaks allowing both novices and aspiring experts to paddle comfortably. Instruction is provided by experienced guides.

Minimum age is 12 years old.

What To Wear

Due to unpredictable Alaskan weather, we advise dressing in layers, which will allow you to stay warm and dry as the outdoor environment changes. For this event, all kayaking gear is provided, but please remember to dress warmly and bring an extra pair of socks. Non-waterproof cameras and video equipment are not recommended on this trip. No previous kayaking experience is required. Rubber boots and dry bags are provided for kayaking.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A deposit equal to 30% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of travel a 10% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
