Come see the beauty of Byers Lake as you glide through tranquil waters on single or tandem Sit-On-Top kayaks. Watch for resident trumpeter swans, loons and beavers. Paddle over pools of spawning salmon and look for the bears and eagles that come to feed on them. Byers Lake is located within Denali State Park and excellent views of Mt. McKinley are possible, weather permitting. This is a great trip for beginners or experienced paddlers as boats are very stable and easy to maneuver. Your guide will provide easy paddle instructions before you begin. This trip will last approximately 3 hours and departs from the McKinley Princess Lodge. Transfers between the Lodge and Byers Lake are included and generally take about 15 minutes by van. Please dress in layers for the weather and bring a coat that can protect your from wind and rain.

What To Wear
Due to unpredictable Alaskan weather, we advise dressing in layers, which will allow you to stay warm and dry as the outdoor environment changes. For this event, please also bring comfortable walking shoes and a jacket that can shield you from light wind or rain.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to 30% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of travel a 10% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
