Denali State Park Wilderness Hike

Explore the Alaskan wilderness on an exhilarating trek in the heart of Denali State Park. The best way to experience Alaska is on foot with a great guide. Under your own power and using your five senses, you will feel a closer connection to the Alaskan landscape. Hike through lush vegetation along forested trails while your guide tells you about the local history and wildlife of the area. Climb above tree line for spectacular views of the Alaska Range, glaciers, and Mt. McKinley (weather permitting). The trail is not steep or difficult, but a long, steady climb makes this trip fairly strenuous. Enjoy a freshly prepared picnic lunch while scanning the mountainside and valleys for foraging bears. Photographic opportunities abound, from majestic alpine vistas to delicate wildflowers and berries.

Your hiking tour will last approximately six hours including transfers to and from the McKinley Princess Lodge. Hikes range from 5 to 7 miles and may involve challenging terrain on established trails.

What To Wear

Sturdy hiking shoes recommended. Please dress in layers for the current weather conditions and bring a rain jacket. Cameras and binoculars are also recommended.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A deposit equal to 30% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of travel a 10% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
