Tokosha Homestead Boat Tour 11:00 AM

See the wild side of Denali National Park! Travel in a warm enclosed river boat from the boat landing, located just below the McKinley Princess Lodge at mile 133 on the Parks Highway, to the Tokosha Mountain Lodge. The lodge is a small family owned homestead, and the only lodge within the southern border of Denali National Park. Hear some of their fascinating experiences from bear encounters and raising kids in the wilderness, to getting the mail living 12 miles from the road. Take a rest and have a nice piece of rhubarb blueberry cobbler, or whatever snack has been cooked up for the day. This tour offers incredible views of Mount McKinley and the Alaska Range weather permitting. Watch for wildlife such as black and brown bears, moose, wolves, otters, beavers, eagles and spawning salmon. This is your chance to experience what everyone comes to Alaska to see. Please come prepared for the weather, bring a warm jacket or rain coat. Wear comfortable walking shoes and remember to bring your camera. Note this tour is not recommended for guests in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

What To Wear

Due to unpredictable Alaskan weather, we advise dressing in layers, which will allow you to stay warm and dry as the outdoor environment changes. For this event, please also bring comfortable walking shoes and a jacket that can shield you from light wind or rain.

A deposit equal to 30% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of travel a 10% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
