The tour starts with pickups from local area hotels. Once the small group is gathered, the hiking guide picks the trail based off the local conditions and everyone's skill level. No matter the location, it's a quick drive to the trailhead. On the trail, the hike proceeds at a comfortable pace, with frequent pauses for the guide to point out the geology, plants, and animals that define the sub-arctic ecosystem.
Questions are encouraged along the way. Between the intimate group and this personalized attention, the tour feels like a private guided experience. After reaching a turnaround point halfway through the hike and returning with the same relaxed pace, the three-hour tour concludes with drop offs back at local area hotels.

The exact location of the guided Denali Walking Tour varies based on guest fitness and where the day's best walking is found. Trails are sometimes unimproved and rarely flat, but the walk is designed to be relaxed and comfortable. This is a small group tour with no more than eight guests per guide.
What to Bring
Guests should wear synthetic clothes they can comfortably hike in, and sturdy walking or hiking shoes. Bring rain gear, an extra warm layer, water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and bug spray. Don't forget a camera and binoculars.
Special Instructions
This is a moderate hiking excursion. Guests must be able to walk at an even pace on uneven ground for three consecutive hours.
