Alaska's wow-factor, it's one thing you can always count on. That's why for 2022 we've added a whole menu of new activities, tours, and lodging so that you can experience even more of that Alaska awe.

Expanded Winter Excursions

From golden daylight to evening alpenglow, winter in Alaska can be downright sublime. Along with year-round lodging, guided multi-day tours, and both standard and premium rental cars, we've added these unique winter experiences beginning in February 2022:

  • Denali Experience Flight - A winter version of this top-rated flightseeing tour out of Talkeetna. See Denali and its surrounding massifs in full winter glory.

Pilot navigating the K2 Aviation Denali Experience flight.

  • Winter Snowshoeing Adventure - Head into the mountains of Anchorage on a guided snowshoeing trek. Great for first-time snowshoers.
  • Chena Hot Springs Northern Lights Tour - Visit naturally fed hot springs just under two hours outside of Fairbanks, and take your time chasing the aurora on the return trip.

Setting Your Sights on Summer

It's never too early to get excited for next summer, and these new additions give you good reason:

  • Grand Knik Helicopter Tour - Land high in the alpine, at the toe of a glacier, and on a glacier itself on this exceptional helicopter tour near Anchorage. This trip is also available in winter.

Enjoy spectacular views of Knik Glacier.

  • Copper River Rafting - Raft the iconic Copper River on either a mellow scenic tour or splashy whitewater adventure. This one's a must-do if your itinerary takes you to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park or Valdez.
  • Glacier Blue Kayak - Take a day trip by train from Anchorage to the Spencer Glacier for a paddle among icebergs. On the return rail leg you'll travel through the Upper Placer River Gorge Canyon, one of the most scenic sections of rail in Alaska.
  • Anchorage Trolley Tour - Keep this local trolley tour in mind if you plan to have spare time in Anchorage. It's a quick, fun one-hour trip with some of the best guides in town.

Popular trolley tour stop at the Lake Hood Seaplane Base.
