Alpine Hike on the Alyeska Glacier 3:00 PM
Your hike will depart from the Ascending Path's Yurt office located at Mt. Alyeska's Tram lower tram station. Your 3 hour hiking adventure will start with a ride 2300 feet up Mt. Alyeska via tram. From the upper mountain tram station, you will hike a scenic ridgeline surrounded by the 7 Glaciers of the Girdwood Valley and outstanding views up Alyeska Glacier making photo and rest stops along the way. You will hike for about 2 hours on the glacier for a distance of 1 mile round trip with an 800 foot elevation gain. At the Glacier's edge you will gear up with climbing harnesses, ropes, NEOS over-boots and/or crampons and learn about glacier travel before heading onto the glacier itself. Trips include all glacier equipment, trekking poles, extra attire if need. No experience necessary and this is a great trip for families. Your trip will be guided by Ascending Path's own Glaciology glacier guides.
What To Wear
Be sure to wear comfortable warm clothes dressing in layers (fleece jacket, rain jacket/pants, gloves, warm hat, and sunglasses. Hiking or running shoes, a day pack to carry extra clothes in case you get too warm, camera and binoculars are recommended as well. Granola bars and bottle water provided.

Payment and Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to 30% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of travel a 10% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
