There's never a dull night at the McKinley Chalet Resort's Music of Denali Dinner Show. The popular evening event takes place in a timber frame dining hall with communal tables not unlike the remote roadhouses of the past.
Platters of fresh Alaskan salmon and saucy smoked barbecue.
Dinner is served family style, with servers bringing out platters of fresh Alaskan salmon, saucy smoked barbecue, and mashed potatoes for tables to share. Musicians play festive folk tunes as guests dish up and dig in. For the thirsty there is soda, beer, wine, and cocktails available for purchase. Dinner wraps up with a hearty serving or two of baked apple crisp.
Once complimentary coffee and tea is served, performers take to the stage for the evening's feature entertainment. It's a musical comedy set in the early 1900s that tells the epic tale of the first successful ascent of Alaska's famed Denali. There's drama, hilarity, adventure, and plenty of chances for some spirited audience participation. The night wraps up after about two hours of feasting and fun.
The Music of Denali Dinner Show runs approximately two hours including dinner. The theater is located in the McKinley Chalet Resort.
