Payments

We accept checks, electronic checks, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover Cards. Payments may be made at AlaskaTravel.com/payment or by calling us at 800-208-0200.

Deposits

If your total reservation price is less than $300 or you are booking within 60 days of travel we will ask you to pay in full at time of booking. For all other reservations, you can choose to pay our low 10% deposit if you plan to make your final payment by check or electronic check, or pay a 30% deposit if you prefer to make your final payment by credit card.

Final Payments

Any balance on your reservation is due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. We will email you a reminder approximately two weeks before your payment is due.

Changes and Cancellations

A 10% administrative fee will apply for changes or cancellations made up until 31 days prior to your first day of travel. Between 30 to 15 days prior to your first day of travel a 50% fee will apply. Within 14 days of travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. The 10% administrative fee will be waived for guests who purchase our cancellation waiver or who purchase travel insurance through Alaska Tour & Travel. Groups, seven-day cruises, escorted tours, and wilderness lodges have additional restrictions. Ask your reservation agent or see your travel documents for more information.

Worry-Free Cancellation Waiver

Our cancellation waiver program allows you to change or cancel your reservation for any reason without a fee or penalty up until 31 days prior to travel. In addition, you will receive a refund for your trip in the event that you must cancel within 30 days due to a medical emergency or death within your traveling party, or a death within your immediate family. This waiver applies before and during your trip, as long as we receive cancellation notice at least 24 hours prior to your individual service dates. The waiver is not available for escorted vacation packages or Alaska cruises as indicated in your travel documents. The cancellation waiver costs 3% of covered services and is non-refundable. For more details visit AlaskaTravel.com/cw.

14 Day No Risk Booking Policy

Guests confirming their trip at least 60 days prior to travel will have 14 days to change their deposit and cancellation waiver choices, modify their reservation, or cancel their entire trip for a full refund.

Travel Insurance

Because we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including natural disasters and family or medical emergencies, we encourage all of our guests to purchase travel insurance. If you purchase travel insurance through Alaska Tour & Travel we will waive our 10% fee for changes or cancellations up until 31 days prior to travel. If you decide not to purchase travel insurance we strongly recommend that you consider our Worry-Free Cancellation Waiver. For more information on travel insurance please call us at 800-208-0200 or visit AlaskaTravel.com/insurance.
