It's about two hours to your first destination of Girdwood. The drive is a gorgeous one, taking you through the sort of scenery Alaska is so well known for: Mountains, bright blue lakes, glaciers, salmon streams. Once in Girdwood a tram ride at Alyeska Resort takes you to the mountainside Bore Tide deli for lunch, and then it's off to Girdwood Brewing for day's first tasting.
Your next tasting location is the Anchorage Distillery, which specializes in premium distilled liquors made from Alaska grown ingredients. Grain grown in Alaska? It's true, and the master distillers take you through their processes as you enjoy your choice of craft cocktail. A final tasting at the popular Double Shovel Cider Company rounds out the day.
The Alaska Crafted cruise transfers provides one-way van transportation from the Seward cruise terminal to Anchorage, a driver/guide, and tastings at three Alaskan craft beverage makers. The tour requires a minimum of three passengers.
