- Seward Heli-Hiking Adventure
Overview
Seward's dramatic surroundings, with its steep coastlines and nearly impenetrable terrain, make it ideally suited for heli-hiking. On this two-hour trip you'll be transported from the ground in Seward to some of the area's most rugged, pristine, and otherwise unreachable sites for an unforgettable hiking experience.
Ideally suited for heli-hiking.
The tour is fully customized to your group, weather permitting, so it's up to you to pick your own hiking adventure. Maybe it's the idea of trekking in the high alpine that intrigues you. Up there it's all ridgelines and open spaces, with views of glaciers, valleys, and mountaintops as far as you can see. If the coastline is more your style, then sea spray, spruce trees perched on cliffsides, and endless beachcombing await.
In both places the likelihood of observing wildlife is high. Keep your eyes and ears open. If you're waterside, look for the telltale mist of a whale's spout and listen for the high-pitched chatter of bald eagles. And if you're on a mountaintop, look for the dark shape of a bear or the shaggy white shape of a mountain goat in distant meadows. Your tour concludes with a return flight to Seward.
