Denali Hotels & Lodges

Alaska Tour & Travel offers reservations at all Denali Park entrance area hotels. Many are located just north or south of the park entrance, but a few wilderness lodges can be found within Denali National Park itself. Whatever your budget or preference, we can arrange a property to fit your Alaska experience.

Just north of the Denali Park entrance in what's locally known as the "canyon area" are the Grande Denali Lodge and Denali Bluffs Hotel. Both offer expansive views, onsite dining, and shuttles into the park. The Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, which is located down on the Nenana River, offers the many conveniences of a larger resort.

In the historic Kantishna district deep inside Denali National Park you'll find the Kantishna Roadhouse and Denali Backcountry Lodge. They're located roughly 92 miles down the Park Road. Both lodges offer transportation into the park, along with an all-inclusive experience with guided hiking and naturalist activities, shuttles to awe-inspiring Wonder Lake, loaner gear, and included meals.

More Denali Park area lodging can be found seven miles south of the park entrance. Although there may be shuttle service, and some tour companies will pick up from these properties, they're best for independent travelers with rental cars. The Lodge at Denali Park Village is located on 20 acres along the banks of the Nenana River, with walking trails throughout the facility, onsite dining, and a tall timber lobby complete with a crackling fireplace. Nearby, budget-minded travelers will appreciate the value of Denali Grizzly Bear Resort and its cedar hotel rooms or private riverside cabins. Denali Cabins are tucked away in the forest another mile farther from the park in a spot that provides solitude and a feel for Alaska's wilderness.

The Denali National Park area bustles between late May and September, so hotel rooms and cabins fill up quickly. We recommend early reservations and at least a two-night stay to explore the park. Most hotels will provide transportation to and from the national park entrance and the train depot nearby.

Denali Park itself is a small summer community surrounded by several larger hotels. Find gifts, fuel, and basic supplies here, along with plenty of options for dining.
