Alaska Glacier Lodge is located a short 30-minute drive from downtown Palmer and offers stunning views of the Knik River basin and surrounding mountains. Well placed for those traveling between Copper Center or Valdez and Anchorage, the lodge features private cabins and onsite dining in addition to a number of activities unique to the area.

Hatcher's Pass and the Independence Mine State Historical Park are located just above Palmer in the Talkeetna Mountains. It's a favorite among Alaskans for its recreational opportunities.
