Designated a National Scenic Byway, the 130 miles to Seward offer splendid views of southcentral Alaska. Passengers on the comfortable Park Connection bus line drive along the Turnagain Arm past Girdwood and Portage before winding southward into the Kenai Mountains. The road tops out in Turnagain Pass and then descends past many picturesque lakes into Seward. The return trip retraces this scenic route.
Roundtrip Park Connection passengers travel on the Seward Express route. It departs from the Dena'ina Civic Center in downtown Anchorage 7:00 AM and drops passengers off in Seward at about 9:45 AM. The return coach departs from Seward about 6:30 PM (depending on pickup point). Passengers are dropped off at either the airport or Dena'ina Civic Center at about 9:30 PM.
The Park Connection runs a fleet of modern 52-seat motorcoaches equipped with seatbelts, footrests, armrests, and power outlets. There is one lavatory located in the rear of the bus. Seating is first-come, first-served. Park Connection drivers provide casual commentary on the surrounding area, keeping it light to give passengers time to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The Park Connection allows two bags and one small carry on item per person. Large luggage is stowed in lower bays with room onboard for smaller items in overhead racks. Additional fees may apply for excessively large oversized bags or items like bicycles, fish boxes, fishing equipment, or climbing equipment. There is no charge for items like strollers, car seats, wheelchairs, scooters, or oxygen concentrators.
Park Connection motorcoaches are wheelchair accessible. Please notify the Park Connection at least 48 hours in advance if wheelchair accessibility is required. Each motorcoach can accommodate up to two wheelchair passengers at one time.
Passengers must be at their designated pickup location at least 15 minutes prior to the schedule departure time. Pickup and drop-off locations are strictly limited to the list below.
