- Park Connection Bus Denali to Seward
Overview
This southbound Park to Park bus line gets passengers from just outside Denali National Park to Seward in a single scenic day. The comfortable ride aboard a modern Park Connection motorcoach takes about 10 hours and includes a lunch stop in Anchorage.
Travel from Denali Park to Seward in a day.
The drive starts in the Denali Park canyon area at 7:00 AM. The highway descends through a wide-open tundra landscape into spruce forests. As the route progresses south, the Alaska Range comes into view to the west. The coach continues off the main highway to the small town of Talkeetna. On most days the bus takes a short stop at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, giving passengers a chance to stretch their legs and pick up a snack before continuing to Anchorage.
All passengers get off the bus in downtown Anchorage where they can grab lunch from one of several restaurants within walking distance. The bus boards again at 2:45 PM for a 3:00 PM departure. The scenic trip continues along the Seward Highway, around the Turnagain Arm, and onto the Kenai Peninsula. The motorcoach arrives in Seward around 5:45 PM.
