New in 2025: The Whittier-Seward Cruise Connection
This convenient route connects guests arriving or departing on cruises via Whittier with Seward and Kenai Fjords National Park without the backtrack to Anchorage. It is especially useful for travelers on a pre- or post-cruise land package, allowing you to:
- Ride the world class Coastal Classic train.
- Enjoy all Seward has to offer, from day cruises into Kenai Fjords National Park to kayaking, hiking, dog sledding, and fishing.
- Maximize vacation days by minimizing travel times.
Cruise Connection Schedule
The Whittier-Seward Cruise Connection will run roundtrip between Whittier and Seward on Saturdays, Sundays, and every other Monday in the summer of 2025. This schedule serves Princess, Holland America, and Norwegian turn days in Whittier.

- 12:00pm Arrive Seward Windsong Lodge
- 12:15pm Arrive Gateway Hotel
- 1:10pm Depart Gateway Hotel
- 1:30pm Depart Windsong Lodge
- 3:45pm Arrive Whittier Cruise Docks
Pickups and drop offs in Seward are limited to the Windsong Lodge and Gateway Hotel. Travelers connecting from different lodging or day tours will find the centrally located Gateway Hotel most convenient.
