Grand Landscapes Gallery

When it comes to landscapes, Alaska has it all.

There are mountains, of course, vast ranges of rocky pinnacles and gnarled peaks best appreciated by way of a flightseeing trip. There are fjords bordered by thousand-foot cliffs and blocked at the ends by tidewater glaciers. There are iceberg-filled bays, visited by day cruises, and glacial lagoons to experience by kayak.

There are wide, silty rivers and perfectly clear mountain streams. There are vibrantly green rainforests and austere white icefields. In Alaska's Interior, the landscape turns into taiga and tundra, rolling expanses that glow yellow and orange in the fall. There are even sand dunes. Indeed, Alaska has it all.
