Itinerary

Arrive in Fairbanks, and transfer by courtesy shuttle to your riverside accommodations. Overnight Fairbanks.
Ease into your Alaska vacation with a leisurely morning, then head off on an afternoon tour aboard a classic sternwheeler. The boat paddles down the Chena River, making stops to showcase some quintessential Alaskan characters and activities. Overnight Fairbanks.
Transfer to the Fairbanks Depot this morning for the first leg of your Alaska Railroad travels. The rail from Fairbanks to Denali National Park cuts a path through rolling tundra, crossing rivers and passing through patches of spindly spruce trees kept small by permafrost. As you near the Denali Depot, head onto one of the train's outdoor platforms for a view of the precipitous Nenana River Canyon.
You'll float a mellower section of the Nenana River this afternoon on a mild water raft trip. Overnight Denali.
Delve deep into Denali National Park today, traveling by bus 180 miles out and back. The trip is narrated by a driver-guide with a wealth of Denali knowledge. There's a good chance you'll see wildlife along the way, plus views of iconic sites like the Plains of Murie, Stony Hill Overlook, and Polychrome Pass. The trip includes several rest stops and a homecooked lunch at the Kantishna Roadhouse. Overnight Denali.
Meet the cutest locals (sled dogs, of course) on a morning trip to the Husky Homestead, a well-respected kennel run by Iditarod champion Jeff King. You'll learn all about the "last great race" and meet many of the kennel's extraordinary Alaskan Huskies.
This afternoon, relax aboard the Alaska Railroad train to Anchorage. Overnight Anchorage.
Discover the humble beginnings of Alaska's largest city on a morning tour of Anchorage. With your guide you'll visit Ship Creek, Earthquake Park, and Lake Hood, the busiest seaplane airport in the world.
Take time to visit the Anchorage Museum later today, then enjoy the rest of your time exploring downtown. Overnight Anchorage.
Return to the Anchorage Depot early this morning for a ride along what many describe as the most scenic section of rail in the state. The route from Anchorage to Seward follows the Turnagain Arm before curving south into the Kenai Mountains.
This afternoon, visit the Alaska SeaLife Center on the coast of Resurrection Bay in downtown Seward. It's a perfect introduction to the vibrant marine ecosystem you'll travel through tomorrow. Overnight Seward.
You'll spend the final day of your land package on the water, exploring Kenai Fjords National Park, Aialik Bay, and two of its tidewater glaciers. The tour includes an onboard deli style lunch and buffet dinner on Fox Island.
Your package concludes with a return to Seward.
