Trip Overview

For five memorable days travel from the shores of Seward to the heart of Denali National Park. This package is built with cruisers in mind, making it an easy to transition to disembark at the Seward Cruise Terminal and start a post-cruise land package. After a day tour into Kenai Fjords National Park and an overnight in Seward, the itinerary includes same-day transportation to Talkeetna. The small town is aptly known as the "Gateway to Denali." The following two nights are spent in the Denali Park area, with one day set aside to explore the depths of the park by road. The package starts in Seward and concludes in Anchorage.

After arriving into Seward, enjoy an introduction to the area's abundant marine wildlife with a morning visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center. From here you'll head to the Small Boat Harbor to catch your afternoon cruise through Resurrection Bay and into neighboring Kenai Fjords National Park. You'll spot many of the animals you saw at the SeaLife Center, plus visit one or two of the park's many impressive tidewater glaciers. Overnight Seward.

Settle in for a comfortable ride from Seward to Talkeetna aboard the premier Park Connection Motorcoach. It's a relaxing trip, but keep your camera close. You'll drive through some spectacular scenery. The trip includes a midday break in Anchorage. Overnight Talkeetna.

With so few roads within Alaska, rivers become thoroughfares. This morning you'll explore 20 miles of the mighty Susitna, one of the area's several glacially fed waterways, on a jetboat tour.

Enjoy the afternoon exploring Talkeetna before catching the early evening Park Connection to Denali. Overnight Denali.

In what is often the favorite part of this itinerary, today you'll travel into Denali National Park on a guided bus tour. The route winds along the park's single gravel road as it traces along mountain valleys and through glacial plains. You'll stop frequently for wildlife sightings. Overnight Denali.

The final morning of your trip begins with a playful trip to a local sled dog kennel to meet pups and learn all about dog mushing in Alaska. You'll head to the Denali Depot afterward to catch the train bound for Anchorage. The package concludes with a final overnight in Anchorage.
